so the kid is one

Well the kid had his first birthday, he is officially 1 year old now, he's got a long way to go to catch up with me, I'm looking at 15 this year and I must say I'm looking pretty sharp. Sure there may be a little more around the middle but I am a welsh Border Collie and we are shall we say built a little more solidly.
Now it would have been rude to turn down that birthday liver muffin and the carob dog biscuits that Aunt Briar sells at Star Dogs, they were very, very tasty and I'm more than happy to act as an official taster should she ever need one. (hint hint)
The rugrat seems to be happy to do the lifedog surf duties so I'm guarding the car while the parents swim, I fail to see the point of swimming in water where you cannot see the other side and those waves are not my thing at all. Yes sir that car back seat needs to very closely guarded until we get to the creek, then I'm all action dog, those sticks won't retrieve themselves you know, then after you get sopping wet you get a big warm towel hug to dry you off, very nice. Well I gotta keep watch on that lounge rug unless Dad needs me in the office, Happy new year everyone
